Established in 1960, Boyd Smiths Pvt Ltd is a pioneer Engineering Firm involved in Designing Developing & Manufacturing Heavy duty Fabricated Jigs and Fixtures, Special Purpose Equipment, Precision machined component and spares for Railways, Defence Sector etc., Import Substitute Equipment and material handling equipment’s.

Our factories in Kolkata are equipped with a Modern Machine shop, Tool Room, Fabrication & Assembly Shops.

As part of our expansion plan we are setting up a world class state of the art 60,000 sq. ft. Greenfield manufacturing facility at DANKUNI (W.B) including machine shop with latest CNC machines .Modern fabrication shop with robotic wielding, forging facility, heat treatment and assembly facility.

Our skilled operators and their state of the art equipment are supported by a very experienced engineers, quality control division and design and development team to meet the desired customer satisfaction through our products. This combination allows us to provide you with the most advanced manufacturing solutions. With more than 55 years of manufacturing experience and innovation, we have established a tradition of quality, reliability, and customer service. Our products and services are utilized by a wide range of companies in a variety of industries, including Railways, Defence, Aviation, Steel plants, oil refineries, thermal power plants, coal handling plants and various heavy industries.

Ashoke Kumar Singh

Managing Director

Mr.Ashoke kumar singh (79) has a degree in B.Sc (Hons) Calcutta University, (India). He has attended Apprenticing Course from M/s. Jessop & Co. Ltd and various executive management training during his long career. A founding member of M/S Boyd Smiths Private Limited hemirrors the values of the organisation he heads – professionalism, entrepreneurship and a passionate commitment to advancing the interests of all stakeholders. Under his leadership, the company has overcome multiple challenges, and emerged stronger. Having gained Technical and Practical knowledge from various Foreign Countries like U.K., Germany etc. has.steered the company from a very small venture to a reputed name in manufacturing with railway, defence and various steel producing companies.

Subodh Kumar Boyd

Director Mr.Subodh kumar boyd (76) is a Graduate in Commerce from Calcutta University with wide industry knowledge and technical experience. AWhole‐Time Director in BSPL his responsibilities include business operations in heavy engineering and component manufacturing.He is the driving force behind positioning BSPL in railway, defence and heavy engineering sector and has given renewed thrust to indigenisation in these critical sectors in sync with the ‘Make in India’ initiative of Government of India.

Anup Kumar Boyd

Director Finance Mr.Anup Kumar Boyd (67) A Graduate in commerce from Calcutta University is responsible for the accounts and finances of the company. In addition to above his responsibilities includes Risk Management, customer Relations, Legal and Corporate Brand Management & Communications.

Subhas Kumar Boyd

Technical Director Mr.Subhash kumar boyd (64) is technical director of the company overseeing design and development department of the company. His responsibilities & contribution included Conceptualization, Design, Development, Production of highly sophisticated solutions to various needs of customers in railways, defence, power and energy sectors. He is credited for executing various projects such as locomotive chassis manufacturing plant, engine block manufacturing line etc. In addition to the above responsibility he is in charge of the production and work force management.

Ashish Boyd

Director Marketing Mr.Ashish boyd (50) a Whole‐Time Director and is responsible for marketing and operations of BSPL. His experience is rich and varied having worked across domains like irrigation, textiles, logistics, material handling and Business Development. With passion backed by talent Mr.Ashish provides leadership insights into railways, defence and power plant sector which has led the company to achieve new heights. He is credited with extension of product line from specialised equipments manufacturing to man and material handling equipments. Mr. ashish drives the implementation of latest engineering practices and safety standards in manufacturing and passes the same to the products and in-turn the customers.

Shrad Boyd

Director Mr.Sharad boyd (38) With an undergraduate degree in Commerce from Calcutta University he has played a pivotal role right from the past 16 years for the company he oversees operations of several factories and is a driving force behind new project developments. He spearheads Quality & Productivity and inculcated the culture of “First time Right” in all factories of the company. An expert in providing solutions to any industry’s mode of handling, assembling, storing and transporting its products, he has pioneered the material handling business in India.

Rohan Boyd

General Manager Rohan boyd (34) – Is a Company secretary (ICSI) and MBA (University of Bradford) is responsible for planing,purchase and production in our organisation and holds a post of general manager production and planning. Under his watch the company has ventured into aerial work platforms and material handling equipment business and is adding new products day by day.With over 12 years of work experience in manufacturing and he oversees purchase and operation of different units of BSPL and is driving force behind project execution.
